My Feminist Dick and Other Stories

I had planned on writing a clever little satirical article on how my dick is a feminist, and then following it up with a serious essay, the topic of which would be the failure of modern feminism (or, more specifically, the misguided ignorance of what is refered to as "radical feminism"). This was not to be, and there are several reasons why. The pieces were in response to something I saw over at Jimformation which left me incenced. It wasn't anything Jim had said, but it left me incenced all the same.

The first reason is somewhat embarrasing. When I sat down to write my satirical piece, I found I could not get any further than the first hundred words or so. I stated my thesis, and quite frankly, it seemed like there was no need to go on. But it wasn't funny. And I could not seem to stretch it out any longer. Since it wasn't funny, I couldn't very well post it as a satire, and since it wasn't very long (and lacked "proofs" such as you would find in a piece of literary criticism) I couldn't very well post it as a serious essay.

The more I think about it, however, the less I care. If I had managed to spit out the two pieces mentioned above, I'm sure I could have made one amusing and the other intellectually stimulating, but to what end? Radical feminists, bolstered by their separatist ignorance, would have dismissed my writings as either mysogynistic (which in this day and age is any writing which focuses primarily on the masculine, or takes pride in the masculine rather than what it used to mean, which is anything which demeans or expresses hatred toward women) or ignorant. Those that would enjoy the pieces would most likely have been those who agree with my views. Preaching to the converted was not among my goals.

At any rate, the pieces were not written, and neither the world nor my website are any the worse for it. And there you have it.
