History: I was born and grew up in a small town called Dryden, where the primary industry was a pulp and paper mill, and where the primary recreation was hockey. Four National Hockey League players have emerged from Dryden in the last decade. I learned to read at a remarkably early age, and have devoted most of my life to books, both reading and writing them. I also displayed a marked interest in the visual arts, music, and acting. I don't dislike hockey, but I'm not good at it. Likewise I enjoy physical labour, but have no talent for it. My parents divorced when I was three.
In October of 1998, my father purchased a new computer, and I was finally allowed to go online. I quickly found that I had an affinity for html and the web in general, and spend well over two hundred hours online every month.
In the fall of 1999, I moved to Waterloo in order to attend university, regretfully leaving me girlfriend behind. Her name is Julianne. She now attends school in Sudbury. I remain faithful to her, though she is several hundred miles away, and spend me time much as I did when I was young, although now I design web pages as well.
Vestige was purchased in early February of the year 2000.
I began writing for The Imprint, the university newspaper, on Valentine's Day in the year 2000.
